A video has
surfaced that shows a PSP running a software hack that, when hooked up to an XBOX 360, enables Microsoft's cash cow to
run burned games. We're more than skeptical at this advancement, first because we find it hard to believe that a
software hack would be able to accomplish anything like that, and second because the video has visible jump cuts during
the most telling portions of the sequence. We also can't discount the fact that the XBOX 360 can run videos burned on
DVD either, so that disc he pops into the machine may very well be a plain old video disc with the intro to Perfect
Dark Zero. The video ends with a loving send-off to MS and a date, December 28, 2005, which we presume is the day
when more will be revealed about the so-called hack. This has shades of the iTunes on PSP hoax Joystiq came across a few months ago. While we can't rule out the smallest possibility of this being legit; for the record, we're calling this one a big, fat pile of hooey.
