When Prince of Persia Revelations
was finally released for the PSP, we expected it to at least get scoring around the same range as its cousin, Prince
of Persia: Warrior Within, since PoPR was essentially a straight port. Disappointingly, a myriad of
technical glitches have kept the PSP version of this action title from achieving the same status. We still find it hard
to resist the Prince's newly-portable adventures anyway, so we say bring on the swirling demonic sands of time
misplaced.GameSpot [7.4] - "Revelations is basically the same game as the second iteration of the series, Warrior Within, with a few extra levels tacked on to lengthen an already generously long single-player campaign. The game does lack the battle challenges from the original Warrior Within, but that's no great loss. Revelations is a very nice overall translation, but some serious sound quirks and other bugs keep it from being easily recommendable."
IGN [6] - "The reason behind Tetris follows a few basic laws of handheld gaming. It's easy to see, easy to control and naturally mobile-friendly. The closer a portable game, regardless of system, sticks to these laws, the better the game will be. Unfortunately, when it comes to Prince of Persia: Revelations, the first game in the Prince series to hit the PSP, a few of these mobile laws get shoved aside. Not completely, but enough so that it's nowhere near the game it could have been otherwise."
GameDaily [4 out of 5] - "Sure, it's mostly based on last year's game, but it was a fine game in its own right, and it's translated pretty well onto the Sony PSP. The environments look stunning and are mostly easy to navigate, aside from the occasional graphic glitch that comes into play during a pursuit level, where the shadowy time beast is nipping right on your heels."
