Most wanted game of 2006
As 2005 nears its end, what game are you most anticipating in 2006? Nintendo has several large franchise titles
expected for release, namely Zelda: Twilight Princess and the new Super Mario Bros. for the DS. It is also rumored that we could see Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 next year along with UT:
2007 for the PS3. Of course, these are just the tip of the iceberg excluding PC titles. So let's hear it, readers. What'll it be in 2006?

Yes, 2006 is almost here!, and with it, finally! the games! (sorry, 2005, you didn't have that many good games :/) that will blow our minds. Gears Of Wars, Splinter Cell 4, Too Human, Lost Planet, Mass Effect, just to name a few. Halo 3!, Halo 3! Halo Freaking 3!. The arrival's of PS3 and the Revolution, which means, most likely, the next Mario 128/Revolution. Zelda: Twilight Princess!, Mistwalkers Blue Dragon, Lost Oddessy, On-Cry ... Sonic The Hedgehog on the 360!
Jeremy Wright @ Dec 27th 2005 11:56AM
Halo 3. Another Burnout. More Xbox Live Arcade games like TMNT, Contra, etc that are all Live enabled. Another Rush. A real Conker...
That'd be my dream lineup for the year ;-)

Zelda was going to be on my Christam list, so I guess that's the one I most anticipate, also cheifly because it is the first of the anticipations to be sated.
The Revolution, complete with Super Smash Bros. is high up there.
I guess my most anticipated game of 06 would be a silly little flash platformer that I'm working on, simply because I love to see my work come to fruition.
Ryan @ Dec 27th 2005 12:07PM
Zelda Twilight Princess. No contest. This will be the game that vindicates (again) the Gamecube and launches the Revolution.
No comment on Halo 3.

KOTOR II: The Sith Lords' ending was pretty dissapointing (ahem LucasArts Xmas rush)...I'm hoping that BioWare/Pandemic or Obsidian get to go full bore for the trilogy's finale.

hot_soda @ Dec 27th 2005 12:50PM
The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion
Unreal Tournament 2007
Half Life 2 expansion
In that order.
I don't know why everyone's expecting Halo 3 to come out in 2006. Bungie has even said that a sequal to Halo 2 will not be their next project in their blog a while back when H2 was still pending release. Things could change, but with uncle Bill's statement a few months ago, I still don't expect the PS3 to be released until 2007. So there goes that..
Ninegauger @ Dec 27th 2005 12:53PM
Zelda for Gamecube.
New Super Mario Bros. for DS.
Oblivion... maybe for the PC... I haven't actually chosen a side in the console war yet...
...except I want whatever comes out for the Revolution.
Oh, and since Sonic Rush is the best 2D Sonic game in years I hope that the new Sonic the Hedgehog is the best 3D Sonic ever.
Jeff @ Dec 27th 2005 12:56PM
Final Fantasy XII.
Honestly, nothing else interests me at all at the moment. That could change as the year goes on, but I hoped for the same at the beginning of 2005 and it didn't happen (I think I made a grand total of three game purchases this year). We'll see what happens with the PS3 and Rev, though; I'm sure there's a ton of unannounced stuff still to come.

32_Footsteps @ Dec 27th 2005 2:01PM
Duke Nukem Forever!
Seriously, though, I'm not looking forward to any particular game per se. I'm just looking to have fun, and hype has nothing to do with fun. That said, I did really enjoy the Zelda: Twilight Princess preview at E3 this past year, so that's probably the one I'm awaiting the most. Though the mere possibility of having Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria in my hands is a bit exciting.
cybertaur1 @ Dec 27th 2005 2:02PM
Zelda, most definitely. I'm also really looking forward to the Revolution; everything about that system sort of makes me tingle with excitement. Super Mario Bros. on the DS looks awesome as well. Great year to be a Nintendo fan.
Henry @ Dec 27th 2005 2:03PM
