Nintendo to release English Training DS software
Nintendo announced Monday that the company
will release an English training program for the Nintendo DS handheld. Punch Jump writes: "The software, due out
on Jan. 26, is an extension of the popular ' Brain Training for Adults, based on a popular book' series that has seen
success in Japan. The English Training program will allow owners to listen to a word and write it down on the
handheld's touch screen to score listening ability."
Nintendo is also expected to release a travel dictionary
program for various languages on the DS. The handheld has a plethora of great games, and the simulation side of things
looks to be taking off as well. No word on if either of the two titles will be made available in the US.

The dictionary looks useful for people considering travelling to Japan, or any of the other supported localised countries, it's got a ton of features.. and some testing stuff, but it's nothing more than a replacement for a pocket dictionary that plays hang man.. if you need one you probably have it already.
I wont be getting the dictionary game but I saw it pop up on lik sang, another bench mark for the DS.. even though I remember something for the PSP with a USB microphone and some dancing bird already.
Brain training sold well in Japan.. but aparently it's pretty limited, the only replay value is pitting yourself against people on the wifi download play mode, and tracking your score (brain age) on graphs and stuff.. it's good for a mature audience, but I doubt i'll get it if the number of tasks remains at 9, which is a bit small for a full price DS game.
