Ultima V: Lazarus, the remake of Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny five years in the making, has finally been completed and is available for free. Some other fan remakes have not made it this far, while others have successfully navigated their way out of legal problems. Team Lazarus' Gileathane Dragon has said, "The project has the personal blessing of gaming industry legend [and series creator] Lord British (AKA Richard Garriot)."
