Nissan concept car meets Xbox 360
New details and an image
gallery have emerged covering Nissan's new concept car
that's tricked out with an Xbox 360. At least one game will use the steering wheel and gas pedal for in-game controls.
Geek Zone writes: "Conceived by Nissan Design America Inc. (NDA) and equipped with the Xbox 360 next-generation
video game and entertainment system, the Nissan URGE concept car allows drivers (while parked) to play Project Gotham Racing 3 using the car’s own steering wheel, gas pedal and
brake pedal while viewing the game on a flip-down seven-inch LCD screen. The LCD screen also doubles as a rear-view
mirror when the car is being used for real driving. "As if 360 shortages themselves weren't enough. Concept cars rarely see the light of day so few gamers will benefit from this one. One can still dream though.

As if the cars at the highschool didnt have enough smoke pouring out the windows. Imagin if this thing was parked out back.

It would be better if it used the windows to show the game images via some sort of imbeded HUD.

And it was named the Nissan Fuglymobile. Seriously, who designed that, Playskool?

I thought you are not supposed to move the 360 while game is running. So I guess this car must have some kinda 2010 space age futuristic shocks?

the majority of concept cars have odd stylings that are either ugly, or unpracticle. The reasoning behind them is simply to sport some of the newest ideas which could be making their way down to the consumer in years to come. So, in general, you have to look beyond the design, and try to see what they are trying to showcase with the concept auto.
It's kinda like the PS3...try to look past it's imaage, and focus on what it can do. Oh, and also much like a concept car, there is a good chance that you'll have to be a rich sultan to ever see one in your home. Zing.

I'd drive while playing, it'd be more of a challenge for both tasks :P

The 360 is in the trunk which means you have to get up to change games and such... And imagine what the people will be thinking watching you steer the wheel and push the pedals while parked ... "What the hell is that idiot doing ?" =D

Uh, uh, Beavis, I have the URGE to blow chunks!
What's with the cut-out below the door? This is why graphic designers on crack shouldn't design cars.

uh... this looks suspiciously like the SCION SPEEDSTER made by 5 Axis that I saw at the last SEMA http://cars.ign.com/articles/669/669341p1.html

Talk about a waste of time and design. This car will NEVER see a production line. Thank god for that.
