Programming a 3D video
game isn't the easiest of tasks, but if you're not enrolled in a gaming
degree it could make an interesting hobby. To help, Microsoft and DigiPen will be broadcasting a series of webcasts
starting in January, covering everything from the 3D engine to collision detection, AI and level design. There are already webcasts available about Project Hoshimi and 2D game programming if you want to get stuck in right away -- the first webcast is on Monday, January 16th, and is an introductory lecture.
