Most gamers know that the 360 has a distinct focus on Xbox Live with the ease of downloadable content and
online play. Even the Wall Street Journal recognizes this emphasis. They have a decent write-up on Microsoft's attempt
to dominate the industry through the Xbox 360's online features.A Yankee Group analyst named Mr. Goodman speculates that they spent more than $200 million to develop Xbox Live, and another analyst estimates Microsoft has dropped more than $1 billion in total on the service to date. If these figures are even close to accurate, it proves how much money Microsoft is willing to spend to get gamers online. But then again we didn't need analysts to tell us that much.
