Though considered to be rare by some,
Gamefly has issued an official policy concerning Xbox 360 scratched discs. If the online game rental company receives a
scratched disc on behalf of a faulty console, customers will receive the following notification: "We have received
reports that certain XBOX 360 consoles have caused damage to GameFly videogames. Unfortunately, we have been notified
that you recently returned a damaged XBOX 360 game. As a precaution, we have removed all XBOX 360 games from your
GameQ... In the future, should GameFly receive XBOX 360 games from you that have been damaged, you will be charged a
replacement fee."Microsoft has called the issue an "isolated problem." A policy concerning such an "isolated problem" by one of the largest game rental companies can't look good.
