Sequels we actually wish for

We have all lamented about sequels before - all the Street Fighters and Mortal Kombats and Tony Hawks that offer nothing new to the series but still sell decently because of brand name. What about the games that never got a second chance? Many of us have longed for an updated Final Fantasy VII, but do you remember Nights Into Dreams?

RetroGaming has compiled a list of 10 games that were so good (or potentially good) that they deserve the sequel treatment. From the oft-attempted Chrono Trigger to the oft-rumored Kid Icarus to even American McGee's Alice (which is now in development as a film starring Sarah Michelle Gellar).

Maybe Beyond Good & Evil is a tad too new for the list, but that game deserves all the credit it can get. What are some games you long to see remade, updated, or given a sequel?

[Thanks, Nick]
