How to waste time on the web

If you're trying to get some work done, then you probably shouldn't check out this list entitled "Top 10 Free Time Wasting Sites on the Net" over at About.com. At the top of the list is Falling Sand, a particularly addictive little Java game that accurately simulates (you guessed it) falling sand amongst other things. It doesn't sound too impressive on paper, but in practice it's mesmerizing. Also, there's the frustrating Someone Keeps On Stealing My Letters, pictured above. The place to be if you're a letter thief. What's your favorite game or site for wasting time?

Honestly, who hasn't wasted hours of time, paid or unpaid trying to destroy the fun of people who thinks it's amusing to spell vulgar words in a Flash game?
...unless you were spelling them.

Seriously, you gotta try the sands game. even if you have no idea what you're doing, it will look beautiful. That is, until that little ball grows up and engulfs your screen.

that sand game is quite possiblely the most addictive game I've ever played. Has anyone been able to channel water so it can travel upwards?

That sand game is the most amazingly awesome game this side of Neptune...(because everyone knows games are better on the other side of Nepture)
What a DS game this would make!

Holy crap! That letters game gets so annoying after about five seconds, especially with all of the immature losers writing vulgar things! GRRR!

This guy has a downloadable version of a sand program, and you can do pretty much anything with it. He's also got a Java applet version on his site including some very impressive presets... "wind" and "fire" in particular.
