Nintendo France Revolution teaser

Nintendo-Europe is on a Revolution roll; Nintendo France sent a card out to game journalists promising, "In 2006 Nintendo launches a Revolution." The cover features a stylized drawing of nunchuks, inside there are some strange pictures of a topless guy and a cutout you can display (follow the link for more images if this sounds crazy), and the back teases, "Before changing the face of videogaming forever, Nintendo France wishes you Merry Holidays and a Happy New Year."
If Europe, who usually see console and game launches later than North America and Japan, is being promised the Revolution in '06, is there any doubt we'll see it in America any later? The question now is, how early will we see it: simultaneous multi-market launch in Q4 or earlier for North American and Japan?
[Note: Nintendo France spelled videogaming as one word.]

Funny how Nintendo misspelled "bouleverser" without the "e"... is it a secret conspiracy or did Donkey Kong write the card?

Yes, and English is probably not Nintendo France's first language either.
Just because it's published, doesn't make it right.

What are the two attachments at the top and bottom of the controller? Are those the sensors that go on the TV, because they look like they plug into the Chucks.

Don't start...
But seriously though, even though I have a 360, I still have room for my new Revo coming out soon...

They pulled this straight off Napolean Dynamite. SSX On Tour did that too. Can't they come up with their own stuff? Regardless, I will buy a revo on launch day.

I can't wait for revolutionary videogaming.

They also misspelled the word "holidays," by adding a second "L."
I suppose if they asked me to write anything in French, though, I'd make some mistakes, too.

triscuit: the hand drawn style has been around a lot longer than Napolean Dynamite. Talking film graphics, The Virgin Suicides did it a number of years earlier. (and itself was referencing the old art of scribbling band logos on school books / bags). You can even trace it back to some of Saul Bass' title sequences.
That's not to mention the miriads of graphic designers and illustrators who have employed this style over the last 50 odd years.

That marketing looks simular to the PSP graffitti that was going around.

So what, it's just English.

Not really.

Not another lame "lets try to capture the imagination of a generation" advert. Hasn't it been done already?
