BBC World Radio has released a podcast of
the latest edition of Go Digital, a weekly programme that looks at how technology is changing lives. This edition,
covering massively multiplayer online games, features interviews with a couple of our favorite bloggers: Alice Taylor
over at Wonderland and Aleks Krotoski over at the Guardian
Games Blog. Alice, who also works for the beeb, walks us through the phenomenally popular MMORPG World of Warcraft, whilst Aleks (in her own words) gets "a bit psychological with presenter Gareth Mitchell". Robbie Cooper, the photojournalist who's work we covered recently, also drops by to talk about online gamers and their avatars. It's refreshing to see such a large mainstream news organization give such a balanced account of online games. For anyone interested in the social side of MMOs, this is essential listening.
