Kikizo Games's recent interview with John Carmack
is full of interesting tidbits: his inspiration for the Doom RPG, his off-hand philosophy for spin-off
projects such as the Doom board game and movie ("a solid action movie with lots of fun nods to the gaming
community," according to him). He even pledges support for all consoles not named Nintendo, as the developers
"haven't really looked at the Revolution."The line that caught us by surprise, however, occurred at the very end of the interview: "we are working internally on a completely new project, but we haven't made any firm plans yet for the future of the Wolf, Doom and Quake franchises." So id Software is working on a new project - what are the chances it'll be a first-person shooter with out-of-this-world bad guys?
