In a
minor note, during the CES keynote last night, Microsoft revealed that Capcom's classic coin-op arcade title,
Street Fighter II, will make an appearance as an Xbox Live Arcade game later this year. In addition, a
Texas Hold 'Em title will also be released onto the popular service. Peter Moore proclaimed that Xbox 360
owners have accounted for more than four million downloads from the Xbox Live Marketplace since the console's launch.

That's kinda bland, having to talk about emulated titles as part of the keynote. Maybe Peter was just psyched because it involved kung-fu. Personally, I'm more excited about them making a remix for Street Fighter Alpha 3, though the excitement it cut significantly when you realize that it's for the PSP.
Quick question, is anyone getting the same problem as me with the comments sections? It seems like whenever I get served certain ads, I don't get the opportunity to post. Blocking them doesn't seem to help. This is getting kind of annoying since there are articles I'd like to weigh in on, and 9 out of 10 times, I'm not afforded the ability.

Funny how the best games for the 360 have nothing to do with its graphic capabilities, and the 360 is all about graphics...

Same problem here with the comments. The comments section has really gone to shite since the "upgrade" a couple of weeks ago...

That would be awesome, as long as it's at least Championship Edition. The original Street Fighter 2's game was buggy with redizzy combos, lock ups and freezing. With SF2 CE, both players were allowed to play the same character and bosses, new moves were introduced, combos were fixed, and the players were more balanced. Other than that, Street Fighter 2 would rock on Xbox Live Arcade!

Can't MS just put down some money, sort a deal with the MAME guys, include net play, licence the entire capcom / sega / atari arcade back catalogue... and we've all got the perfect MAME machine sorted.

Word has it that this game is actually going to be Hyper Fighting, which is arguably the best in the original series (although Super SF2 Turbo has it's fans, too).
I think it's a terrific idea.
It's one of those games I'll never forget how to play. I spent so much time and money on it back in the early 90's...my timing is STILL spot on when I pull out my copy of collection or run into an old coin-op. It amazes me that it's been 15 years since the first one came out!
Playing against my friends across the country via Live will definitely highlight my year.
The only downside is that the 360's D-pad is actually quite poor, IMO. After realizing this with DOA (which isn't a very precise game to begin with), I think I'll be looking for an alternate controller before going after any more fighting games.

This looks freakin' awesome. Killer Instinct? Not likely since that is a nintendo product.
