From a company
press release sent to Joystiq earlier today, Nintendo has announced that the DS handheld has sold nearly 13 million
units. From the release: "Nintendo Europe just announced updated sales figures of about 3.5 million. That puts the
worldwide total sales of Nintendo DS systems around 13 million, which accounts for sales of about 4 million in North
America and more than 5 million in Japan."We know there's been massive bombardment of high DS sales news for the past several months, but give credit where credit is due. When a system has such a vast amount and variety of games, sales follow. Assuming the PSP gets more games in 2006, does Sony's black beauty stand a chance?
