The fight against
violent video games
has spread across the pond, with a new political movement organised by womens' tabloid Take
specifically targetting the "yob culture" that has sprung up in the UK. This apparently includes
gangsta rap, street gangs and violent video games.
The "Mums' Army" campaign has allegedly amassed
10,000 responses, although the right-wing nature of its official website reads more like a spoof than a genuine attempt
at politics. However, editor John Dale insists the move is a genuine one. The impact is likely to be fairly low, even
if the movement does gain momentum--however, our vote's going to Take a Break's
Liberation" campaign instead.
