New Tetris-themed lotto tickets in Quebec
After our article discussing the Ohio lottery's
Pac-Man game, many Joystiq readers chimed in to share their experiences similar video game-themed scratch-off
games (apparently Ohio is a bit behind on the Pac-Man cards by upwards of two years). The latest debut comes
from Quebec, whose Tetris-themed instant-win game was launched on January 2nd. The format is what you'd expect from a
scratch-and-win game - $3 to play, with a cash prize as high as $30,000. Groovy - what other game-themed lottery
tickets are in your area?[Thanks, Mathieu Tremblay]

In BC, we had the same Tetris tickets, but you also got a special code that let you play tetris on the British Columbia Lottery Corp site. The better you played, the game would reveal whether you won an additional prize (or you could just take the special code into a lotto place and have them check it.) The only downside is it didn't matter how well you played, you'd still win the same prize (or not win at all, as was the case at times.)
