CES mop-up: Get big playing games

Transform yourself from puny geek to muscle-bound jock... playing games? Powergrid Fitness' Exer-Station claims to burn up to 350 calories/hour and tone your arms, abs, pecs, back, shoulders, and legs. The harder you push, pull, and lean on the control stick, the faster your character/vehicle moves. After you get a feel for the device, you may even find that if offers greater precision than the standard analogue stick.

Ever since coming to CES we've really been missing the gym, so we leapt at a chance to get an isometric workout on the job. After a few laps in Midnight Club we were really feeling the burn, so we knocked the resistance down to Level 1. In this mode, the Exer-Station doubles as a weight-gaining device, since you can control the entire game with a light press of a single finger, while using your free hand to stuff donuts down your throat.

The Exer-Station will be available next month at select retailers for $199.99.
