So what if its a trojan horse you talk about it as if its a mass conspiracy but its not as shocking or big or deceitful as you would like it to be.

BTW what the hell is DIRECTV someone?, and they will have to release biger hardrives to carry out any sort of media orientated plan like this i think. And that means I would have to buy a memory unit to move all my saves BOOOO

I actually don't like "Trojan Horses" that I don't want...surprize. I'm not buying an HD-DVD because I don't want to be forced into the market. This is exactly what Sony is doing. Putting Blu-Ray in everyone's homes. And if you have Blu-Ray, you have to use it. Don't draft me into a format war...I'm a conciencious objector.

Now, one could argue that Xbox 360 is an HD Trojan Horse since it looks less than spectacular on a SD TV. Wrong. I have a first party VGA cable to play my 360 on. The absense of such a first party cable would make the arguemnt 100% valid. If it was a true Trojan Horse, I wouldn't have a choice in the matter. Which is why I choose Xbox over Playstation.

I wonder if this is going to be something that is going to require a Windows Media PC. I can't see being able to playback DirecTV on the 360 unless there is either an add-on device or a Windows Media PC in the equation somewhere.

Perhaps they mean that you will be able to use your 360 as a direct tv receiver? Im sure the 360 has the processing power to do this through immulation or something. Hm.........should be interesting.
