Call of Duty 2 patch in the works

Any word on the save game issues? I had a pretty nasty bug where I finished the entire game (on regular setting) and it didn't recognize that I finished the game. When I went back to look at the mission list, everything was disabled except the first mission again. It was very annoying to say the least. And being an achievement whore, it sucks even more.



Right now I'm playing on the veteran setting and am almost done with the game…again. If this happens once more, I'm tossing the game.

I have a friend who had same problem. Hopefully they will add lobbys, which should help alleviate the lag. Oh and hopefully we can get into games after the new patch

I am hoping for a lobby setting, for the RANKED GAMES to actually start being ranked, and for the option to start a game with your own custom settings and invite people on your friends list. The game has wonderful multiplayer settings, great maps, and awesome game types... it just sucks you cant use them on XBL. Plz Plz Plz fix this, I got over 20 friends who dont play/own it due to the fact you cant invite friends to your custom games.

What they need is something like Halo 2. Halo is the gold standard for multiplayer and Call of Duty is the Halo for the 360. There is no reason why they shouldnt take a page from Bungie's book and do their multiplayer halo-style.

I have the same problem as poster number 1. I finished the game and it started me back at training but unlocked random levels.

Activision sure has strange priorities. The save game bug has much more serious concequences, yet there's no commitment to fix that one.

I just read that DoA 4 also has a save game issue. I'm amazed that companies let bugs like these slip past. I work in software and know that you can never get all bugs. But saved games...come on now, that should be the foundation for a game.

does anybody else keep getting either server is full or unable to join game session errors when trying to get into a custom multiplayer game. Its starting to p*** me off.



On the subject of lag, its weird you either get smooth play or total lag, must be a bug. Sorry if everyones already mentioned these problems.

For now, just go to "Ranked Match" and you won't get that laggy of matches. That's what I've been doin'. I beat the game as well and have that bug problem. I hope the 360 isn't a new Dreamcast if you get what I'm sayin'.

It's a shame about the Xbox Live problems. For me personally, the single player game is one of the best I've ever played. This coming from someone who NEVER plays single player because online play is so much better. Now to the bad part, the online play is the worste I've ever been a part of. I think it has the potential to be the best online game as well, but the constant bugs and lag make it into a less than steller experience. I am a huge fan of 1st person shooters and love to play them online. But today was the last day of COD2 for me. I had one too many laggy games (about 2 out of 3 are unplayable, even on ranked games as I heard one person suggest) I am finished until the patch comes out to fix that and the horrible lobby problems. If the patch doesn't fix both of these issues someone will be purchasing my copy of COD2 on Ebay. Sorry if I sound naggy but it is frustrating when you pay $60 for something and it just won't work right. If this was a car that I had bought I would be receiving a new one from the dealer.

MAN the lag gets frusterating! At first i just figured that people playing just had bad internet connections, but when it became an ongoing problem, I knew there must be something up.. I hope this patch comes out ASAP! It will be free, right? And how do you DL it onto your XBOX360? Through the marketplace?

The Patch is suppose to be released middle of FEB. That is quite a long time to wait but O well as long as it fixes the problems. They definitley need to work on more then just fixing lag and connection problems but creating rooms, more people and clan support.

Monday 30 Jan a new update for Xbox Live will become availble,and within this week the patch for Call Of Duty 2 will be availble to download through the game itself.By the way a new glitch is around the internet,you can host games,select any map you wish,maximum time per map 30 min,300 kills.

the glitch works 100% tested by me and others,when i played 30min and 100 kills all the players who joined my lobby wanted to be my friends!Maybe they thought i was an Infinity Ward developer or something!! :D:D

The Glitch works like a charm. I tried it today for the first time, and it was awsome. You could choose the map, time, kills, and game type

I had the save game problems, yet my brother didn't. i just took the copy of the game back and traded it with a new copy and it works find (so far). it might just be that not all copies have the promlem

i had the same issue and downloaded the patch..and now im playing on vet. any whenever i go to load the level after stalingrad it loads extremly slow then stops at the end. I get frustrated and take it out, should i just leave it be for a while or did anyone have the same problem
