It is ABOUT F'ING TIME. Tetris DX for GBC was the last Nintendo-produced Tetris title, and remains probably the best portable game ever made. Yet another reason the DS is IT.

Yeah, Nintendo definitely needs to do something about the people who power down. My official Mario Kart WiFi record is 0-1 because no one I've been beating has finished a match with me. I wonder if they could disable the power button during online play?

I cant say I have the same problems as you guys with mario kart power downers. My record is 86-27, which is not good by any means, but I've only been online over the christmas holidays. Try racing late at night when its just koreans and japanese.

I'm super ready for this. My parents still keep their GameBoy color around to play Tetris. With this, I'll never be able to get the DS out of their hands. The addition of Wi-Fi is EXACTLY what the world needs.

Blizz419 and White Rose Duelist

You will only gain points if you reach the trophy screen after the four races. once the trophy screen is reached, all those who disconnected receive 1 loss point according to how many people finished all four races. The winner will receive 1 win point for each person who disconnected and 1 win point for each person he beat that has not disconnected.

So in the case of a 1 on 1 race, if you make it to race 3, then someone disconnects, no win points or loss points are awarded at all because the trophy screen has not been reached.

I seem to get a loss as soon as I quit/power off i.e. after turning my DS back on again and check my record the loss/losses are already registered.

So.. you don't actually have to get to the trophy screen.

I've been waiting for a new portable Tetris game for a long time. The

fact that this will be released by Nintendo and Wi-Fi just makes it

perfect. I even have the cash sitting in my wallet to buy a DS.

Now Nintendo, how about releasing the White DS in North

America or a redesigned DS in May.

Hmm, thats strange, I guess you get a loss after a disconnect no matter what. I dont know about wins for sure then, I read the above info from nintendo mario kart boards.

Whoa, nice pics there, tim! =) I can only assume that Tetris Attack DS will follow up on this release (if it's fairly successful), but you gotta love the one-card download option for local multiplayer.

I had thought a "Tetris Stadium" idea would be quite cool on the DS. Glad to see Nintendo thought the same way. This will be killer fun on the wi-fi connection.

I'm not sure what to think of the Nintendo franchise themes in Tetris. I love the Russian-themed one of the Gameboy version (or better yet, the one in the Tengen version). Hopefully they'll have this as one of the skins available.

Without Tetris, your cute little Lumines game would not be possible.

Run along now, go play with your "nut that you play with outside". =p

Another Killer App for the DS! Holy balls, I can't WAIT; I'm giddy with excitement! I really hope it is not a stinking pile of garbage like Tetris Worlds...
