Red Octane has confirmed that Guitar Hero will be released in select European territories, including the UK, on April 7th. Harmonix will be the lone publisher for the European push, warning consumers that the £49.99 package will be in short supply. Harmonix's Kelly Sumner believes this is his company's chance to breakout into the mainstream, comparing the US launch of Guitar Hero to the GTA 3 debut. Sumner also revealed that Guitar Hero will feature "country specific" tracks--but the UK version will be identical with the US one.
