Yeah, the only place in the world people will hide behind the second amendment to excuse themselves for being stupid and/or dickshitish.

Maybe if Kansas wasn't teaching mythology in place of science, parents and children would be smart enough not to be act so affected my media in the first place.

I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know people are dumber than me.

Stack those soapboxes to the sky, Governor. From atop their great height denounce the evils of the entertainment industry. This will surely please your constituency of huddled masses, they who are scared of their own shadow. "Please protect us from ourselves, Almighty," they cry. Without question, you must oblige them and grant absolution from their reckless desires.

I live in Kansas right now, I'm a geneticist and my girlfriend is a biology teacher and quite frankly we don't even understand how people in this state are so consistently crazy. We are, of course, planning on getting the hell out of Dodge (even if we don't actually live anywhere near Dodge City).

Yeah as if its only in America. Australia, Germany, and Malaysia to name a few BAN and dont allow violent games into the country.

Politicians here dont represent the people, they represent themselves.

And why must these asshats continue to waste taxpayer dollars just to have a bill shot down by the Superior Courts?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not my state too!

First intelligent design, and now this?

I was happy to at least be in a state free from the mind boggling stupidity of these politicians, but not any more. At least the best loop hole ever will be heard to extinguish: using giftcards on gamespot or eb games websites!

Calm the F down. It's not making violent video games illegal. The only one's that should be mad about retailers being legally prevented from selling mature video games to minors should be the minors themselves.

I love how people bash America for simply passing regulations, and yet Australia and Germany ban various video games. Excellent point Enigma.

it is people like the above poster (brian)that allow the government to walk all over us. This country is not saved by making more laws, it is rotting. It is so ironic that America's foundation has been compromised given our inherent distrust of government. I cannot believe the fear card is still being played and listened to. Havent we suffered enough politics? Let us be free to choose our fates.
