Kojima really undergoes training for MGS4

While Hideo Kojima's holding out on the super-duper secret goings-on of the final day of real-life military training for his MGS4 team, he is talking about the penultimate day's travails in the English translation of his personal/work blog.

If you ever wanted to see the male members of Kojima's production team lookin' like Solid Snakes themselves, your prayers have been answered. (Sorry, Meryl fans, the female staff participants were excluded from this final phase of training out of concern for their safety. But you can be comforted in the fact that Kojima got a life-insurance policy made out... just in case something went wrong! Now that's developer dedication.)

Notice how in the blog he talks about the substance that eliminates odor that he wont present by name at this time. Most likely in MGS4 I would assume. So taking from that, smell may play a part in the game. Interesting.
