Reuters takes a look at the potential effect that music kiosks could have on the music industry. Fair enough. But
what about the potential of down-loadable ready video game kiosks for gamers and systems with internet connectivity
(Xbox, PS3, DS, Revolution, PSP)?From the article: "Still, [Music] Kiosk business is at an all-time high, with some providers readying U.S. deployments numbering in the thousands, an executive at startup kiosk provider MediaPort says. Such major chains as Starbucks and McDonald's have experimented with them, and MusicLand has made kiosks a central feature of its new Graze Music in-store environment."
Might there be a place for downloadable game kiosks similiar to the current DS demo ones found in Japan? If so, why would a gamer go out to download a game when they could do it from the comforts of their own home?
