Great. another instant classic DS game I'm going to have to buy :( I wish Nintendo would take a leaf out of Sony's book and help me save my money.

I'm curious as to why a bunch of blocks are gray on the upper screen of the multiplayer pic. Only a certain number of blocks are colored.

For those of you who are interested in playing this game now, for free, on your PC, it's been around for a decade or so and it's called Tetrinet.

I can't believe I am somewhat excited about a Tetris game. The fact that you can see what your 9 opponents are doing really seems to add to the experience. What a simple, but great way to use the 2nd screen on the DS. I hope in addition to the normal D-pad controls you can use a stylus (like you could in Meteos). I am sure it will control this way as well. Now if we can only get a smaller redesigned DS, I can actually take it out of the house with me.

Its been a long time since i played tetris but if I remember the original gameboy version as you complete lines on your screen extra lines appear on your opponents screen. that's probably what the grey blocks are.

thats how multiplayer tetris works. if a player gets 4 straight lines, the other player gets a bunch of blocks that come from the bottom(thats for 2 player, i have no idea how they will make the rules for 10 players). thats what those grey ones are.

i dont see why player 2 or 8 have lost, anyone know why?

Looks like those were the "spawned" blocks from other players getting 2/3/4 line combos. You can tell by the gaps in each of the lines being consistent over a large area. Allocating those is going to be the biggest trick of online multiplayer, because surely a Tetris doesn't cause four lines on everyone's screen.

I would guess that since the screens of those 2 players arent at the top, they must have disconnected from the game to have lost.

As a Yahoo! Towers addict and a tetris junkie I must say I can't wait for this game. If you like multiplayer, give yahoo towers a try at yahoo games. Similar game with added hazzards.

it would have been better if your play field was on the bottom screen and the others are at the top. Why waste a whole screen on something useless? if they would have it that way i would buy it but like this i'm not

If you look at the first picture and compare the board on the bottom half with the board marked as #1, they are the same so you are playing on the bottom screen, but it also shows you in the top screen with the other 9 players.

Yeah, you do play on the bottom screen. It just happens to show you on the top screen as well, since it shows all 10 players.

I think it'd be cool to play on the top screen and have the other players displayed on the bottom screen and when you get a line you can choose which player to send the blocks too by touching thier playing window thing on the bottom screen.
