Rising Sun has caused the Nintendo DS to see a supply and demand price increase. Gaming Age reports: "Although the stock of Nintendo DS systems was reported to be low due to a
large demand at the end of 2005, a rush after New Year's Day only compounded the problem. With the Japanese releases of
'Animal Crossing: Wild World' and 'Mario Kart DS' coming near the gift-giving holiday of New Years, sales numbers of the
Nintendo portable jumped again."The current $260 DS price tag is about a dollar short of what the PSP Giga Pack sells for in Japan.
