600K Xbox 360 consoles sold in US

Nearly two months after the Xbox 360's November 22nd launch, reports indicate Microsoft has managed to sell
600,000 units in the US alone. They still
plan on selling between 4.5 and 5.5
million units by June 30th, the end of their fiscal year. If they continue at their current pace, they should sell over
2 million consoles in the US alone.
There is still a very real problem with supply. The addition of another
manufacturing partner,
coupled with increased efficiencies and better yields should remove the shortage problems entirely. With the console
launching in several other
countries, including Taiwan, Korea, and Australia before then, it seems likely they'll hit their goal.
