Here you go folks, some numbers for you to consider. Out of those polled that use the console to watch DVDs and voted for one of the first three options, a total of 86% didn't think the 360's DVD had a problem while a full 18% of everyone polled didn't use the system for DVD playback at all (not surprising, since it stands to reason that most who have a next-gen video game console would also have a standalone DVD player). Still, 126 people saying the playback looks "terrible" is not comforting. Hopefully any perceived shortcomings can be accommodated in a software update.
For some of those waiting for HD-DVD, we're sure some other high-def movies might convince them to use that 360 for movie watching.
