Wonder how many games Nintendo would sell without this DS download play technology.

I prefer watered down PS2 ports with single cart play and long loading times. Forget this! Who really wants to play games anyways when you can watch little movies or listen to music instead?

BTW, this game doesn't release until next Tuesday (24th) as far as I can tell.

(Excellent comment, Bloo. That's the best sarcasm I've heard this year so far! I agree -- with your sarcasm, that is.)

I sure bet it won't look anything like the picture for the story though... Rather nice and... crusty, DS-style.

I take issue with your broad generalization that Golden Tee players are "Drunken Fools". As long as sweeping offensive generalizations are being tossed about, I would like to suggest that Nintendo DS gamers are "a bunch of zit-faced pre-pubescent weeines who couldn't get a date to save their lives". When you live in a glass house...

Well, I've only been in maybe a dozen different bars and easily 10 of them had golden tee and not all of the players were completely smashed out of their heads, but a good majority were.

This was one of my sleeper hits back at E3 2005. I enjoyed this game a lot. Of course I only spent 5 minutes with it. And no, the graphics don't look like the picture above. They are kinda jagged (unless it has been polished up quite a bit, which I guess is a possibility since it was so long ago when I played it). Anyways, I really enjoyed the touch screen controls. It seemed like a fun and intuitive way to play a golf game. I just hope it will still be entertaining after playing it for an hour or two.

You just described all video game players not just DS players.

There are pictures of the game on IGN and it doesn't look anywhere near as good as that picture. It looks good for a DS game, but not Hot Shots Golf PSP quality.
