We've been seeing rumors of an Xbox 360 mod chip all
over the internet for a couple weeks now, but haven't written a single post about it. Why? Because the entire thing
reeked of BS. Thankfully, someone's proven it for us!Blacklisted 411, billing themselves as the official hacker magazine, has put up thier detective work (pdf), debunking the claims made by the I.C.E. Team and their his various other fraudulent fronts. From eBay fraud to misrepresentation, proprietor Evan O'Keefe sure comes off looking like a massive creep. It's a great read, even if the writing is a little off. Think of it as a 21st century, nerd version of a Scooby Doo mystery... "if it wasn't for you pesky kids!"
When there's a real mod chip, you can be sure you'll see it here. In the meantime, don't expect hourly updates whenever Mr. O'Keefe decides he wants a powertrip, making the entire 360 community contort themselves to catch a glimpse at what's behind his curtain.
