According to a leaked scan of
Nintendo Power's upcoming interview with Yoshiyuki Oyama, Ganon will return in the highly anticipated
Zelda sequel, The Twilight Princess. Oyama wasn't willing to spill the entire can of beans with
respect to Ganon's role in the game, but he did state, "All I can say now is, we're preparing more than you could
possibly ever, ever, ever expect..."The other leaked tidbit from the interview concerns the game's boss battles in general. Since Oyama believes that boss battles in past Zelda titles were too easy, the developers have focused on making the showdowns in Twilight Princess more challenging, as well as item-oriented. Unfortunately, further details have yet to be revealed.
The hype surrounding Twilight Princess is growing to Halo 2 proportions, and these latest statements are sure to ignite frenzy amongst Nintendophiles. For better or for worse, Oyama is sticking to his word that this will be "the greatest Zelda game ever," a lofty claim for a franchise that has captivated many of us for decades. We'll have more coverage once further details of the Nintendo Power interview have been divulged.
