As much as I
love the idea of holding a boomerang with buttons, a little more creativity never hurt anyone. That's why Joystiq has
hosted a reader contest on who can come up with the most interesting redesign of the PlayStation 3 controller. The
results are nothing short of inspiring.Adam Portilla of Chicago walked away with the grand prize of X3: The Reunion for PC. His symmetrical ball design strives to improve upon the classic simplicity of the dual shock handheld while offering up a few innovations of its own. Like what, you ask? How about a built-in mic and more accurate force feedback thanks to the spherical scheme.
There's some definite potential in this design. Congrats, Adam!
