The PSP has been basking in the glory of sitting
atop the DS on the Japanese sales charts for the past couple of weeks. We kept telling the PSP that this was a shallow victory, that the only reason it took the pole position was because there were no DSs to be had. We warned the PSP not to brag. We warned it not to boast. We told it not to drink so much. But would it listen? No.
And today, the PSP's reign is a distant memory as the DS, fueled by replinished inventories, reclaims its top spot on the Japanese sales charts. The mighty Nintendo sold 64,515 consoles while Sony managed only 38,271 for the week ending January 22nd.
For the PSP, it is a day of defeat. But the battle continues...
