4M plus Xbox Live downloads since 360 launch

Microsoft corporate Vice President Scott Di Valerio gave a bit more data about the Xbox 360's performance with regards to Xbox Live. He said, "Since the launch of Xbox 360, Xbox Live members have downloaded over 4 million pieces of high-definition games, music and movie content from the Xbox Live Marketplace."

Let's break that down a little bit. Because this was a conference call to announce quarterly performance, we're assuming that these downloads were performed by the 1.5 million people who managed to score an Xbox 360 during the period. More accurately, the content was downloaded by the 50% of Xbox 360 owners who have connected to Xbox Live. This means that 750,000 people downloaded 4 million items, or a download rate of 5.33 Xbox Live Marketplace items per connected gamer.

I have downloaded all the demos...XBox Arcade is where its at....Fight Night Demo Before its launched is an MVP move...........

whats the deal man? Over heating??? I have 5 different friends with 360's and I myself have one...no problems here at all.....stop lying

PS: My 360 has not had any problems. But a worldwide release has made it "seem" like a huge issue. I must say that these next gen systems are definately more fragile than the old days. If I were a parent and Im not, thank god. (knock on wood) I wouldnt purchace any of these systems, its just to risky.

Ah yes, bandit. Now I see what you were getting at. I thought you were speaking of a new standard for the system, not a multilevel, tiered approach. You're right, that would make better business sense. I was just disturbed at the thought of my gaming being interrupted by ads. I've been playing my 360 nonstop (4 downloads and 2 games), and I'm so fond of it's present setup that I'll start looking like Gollum in a few months(pale skin, eyes bulging, twitchy schizo peronality developing)
