It's been a long time coming, but Beatmania will be unleashed on American
turntable enthusiasts this March for the PS2.The US adaptation of the original Bemani style of game will feature 50 remixes of Karaoke Revolution covers for Western audiences (Moby and Jamiroquai fans rejoice!), American-exclusive replay and practice modes, and two difficulty levels for 5- and 7-key play. [Update: GameSpot may have been wrong about the songs. Here's a list from kind chickensnack.]
For all those who have actually tried the game in arcades or through imports know that there can be a tricky learning curve with its fast piano/scratching gameplay, but we hope this popular Asian series will find a place (if not with the less techno-focused gamers out there, then with the aspiring DJs in the clubby confines of America).
