In case you were wondering where all of this Konami-centric news came from, the Japanese developer held a Gamers' Day event for mostly current-gen products in San Francisco the other day.
We just wish they announced more old-school titles like these for a certain online-arcade a somewhat neglected next-gen console has.
As for what we managed to post earlier, simply peruse the links below; otherwise, catch the rest of the stories we didn't highlight by clicking on Hideo Kojima's head above. We're sure he'd appreciate it.
From PSP Fanboy:
From Joystiq Central:
- W. Virginia to put DDR in all 765 public schools
- The Silent Hill Experience coming to PSP [Update 1]
- Konami announces DDR SuperNOVA
- Snake to embark on a comic PSP adventure
- MGS4: Solid Snake's "sixth and final chapter"
- Karaoke Revolution Country comin' this March

It sure does seem like it's going the way of the 3DO and Dreamcast. Amazing how history repeats itself over and over again.

Fact of the matter is that if there were more 360's to sell there would be more 360's in homes. Do you honestly believe that demand for the system is low? Come on now. In addition, Konami for the most part has been a decidely pro playstation company. Not much comes out for the Xbox and initially I would expect that same trend to follow with the 360. But once these big companies see how easy it is to make money off of Live Arcade, I site the pending release of SF on Live, companies will flock in that direction, getting dev kits in peoples hands and hopefully spurn full on development on the platform.
But comparisons to 3DO and Dreamcast? Come on man, please.

Fisrt off: i'm not a fanboy, i own each box out at the moment.
Second: Japanaese companies realize anymore that they make a boatload of money in the US. We are the largest video game market at the moment. The xbox has a pretty loyal following in the us, or at the very least enough of a base to make publishing games on the platform lucrative. So if we are talking just straight economics, thats why you publish games for the 360.
The one who comes off sounding like a fan boy is you bro, sorry to say.
