The music was awesome. Really liking that ding that starts it off. Staying true Nintendo's Mario roots. If revo was released with that boot up screen I would have been satified though I'm convinced it's a fake. That whole Nintendo conspiracy theory's making sense. You never saw this stuff with the 360. On an unrelated topic I CANNOT WAIT FOR A TRUE MARIO GAME. I just hope the don't mess it up like Mario Sunshine. I just want a Mario 64 style game.

Pretty cool fake, but if Nintendo is trying to market to non-gamers I don't think they would use such an imposing technophile interface. The hard beats, and the bright flashy stuff in the background might dazzle the technophobes. Don't get me wrong though, I would love the option to make my Rev interface look/act like that. ;p

What I find interesting is that Ive seen a simiiarility between the fakes - have you noticed the bubbles that appeared on a fake screen shot earlier in the week and now this video that shows them as well. Either the fakes are by the same person or theres something to them.

The intro/audio is really nice. I think the interface itself is easy to use and wouldn't be surprised if it were something to that effect. Though I think visually it could be fleshed out a bit more. Looking not too shabby so far though...but I'm guessing it's probably a fake.

I'm calling fake, simply because it says WiFi, and not Nintendo Wi-Fi, or even Nintendo's symbol...

also I am calling fake because if it was really from e3 2005 it would of been out way before this

Its fake but its a neat flash job, very good animation and i can see that whoever made it spent a lot of time on it. The best fake i have seen.

My theory is that ALL of these revolution mock-ups are infact real. Nintendo is doing an underground focus group where they "leak" these supposed screens around the internet and the final revolution screen will be the one with the best feedback recieved.

If that is the case, I vote this one, but shave 4 seconds off the 10 second loading time.

I think nothing here is real for one reason: Load time. Nintendo is against any kind of load time. Expect their interface to pop up imediately with no flashy long animations. Think Tivo.

You guys say cool now, but after you've watched it 20 times you'll be throwing the controller at the screen.

I don't know why you're all saying it takes too long to get to the point. Go bootup your PS2, Gamecube, or Xbox. The PS2 in particular takes a while to get to the game.

This looked relatively quick to me. And rather neat. Fake, but neat. Maybe there's something with this RS deal?

Ha! This is terrible for a number of reasons:

1. Having to wait for 11 seconds before being allowed to input.
2. Presumably we'll be able to use the much more natural lightgun interface (with a cursor) to "click" on things. Why make the targets so stupidly small?

This is about as long as the GameCube entry, in terms of load time.

To the conspiracy theorists (actually leaked by Nintendo) - I'd laugh if I didn't think of making that point when I was writing the post.

Yeah, it's missing a virtual console, and I do believe that one is allowed to "connect" (read: use) more than 4 contollers, so the health bar is inaccurate as well. Not to mention memory card - Ninty keeps calling it "flash drive" (especially since it's, well, an internal flash drive - not exactly a catchy name I know).

Of course this is fake, but it's an interesting layout.

RS is somewhat catchy, but here's the problem: what the hell would it stand for? At least the DS makes sense (Dual Screen). Althought "W"s are not very appeasing letters, Nintendo would have better luck with the dual-meaning WFC: Wi-Fi Connection, and Wacky F-king Controller.

What if the UI was adjustable according to what type of gamer you are?

Like Xbox 360 I can customize the skins, but furthermore be able to customize which interface I want. So if I'm grandpa I could go for the slim, sleek and user friendly version, but if I'm a technophobe (post #1) then I could have this type of mockup and fake UI.

I just booted up my Xbox and timed it. It took 11 secs to get to the dashboard. My GameCube and Xbox 360 each took 10 seconds. So the load time for this interface is no slower than any of the current consoles.

I don't think the interface will be anything special in particular and I don't understand the obsession. Nintendo has said that there's more to the Revolution than the controller, but I seriously doubt their big secret is the interface. =|

Yes, it is all Viral Marketing. If you notice, there are always these "mockups" every new system Nintendo has. No other system out there has these "fake mock ups" pop up. It only happens with Nintendo.

VIRAL MARKETING!

Am I the only one who thinks the beginning of the theme sounds like a foghorn?

Well, anyway, I really like the first sound clip, and the actual layout isn't too bad, either. While 11 seconds is no longer than previous consoles' bootup time, the RS sequence is uneventful and boring. And Arial font? Come on.

I get the chills every time I watch that.

If some of you don't like it then it would be nice in nintendo included a customizable interface of some type.

If you ask me this one is great.

1. someone tell me the artist/name of that song its sweet.

2. Otherwise its a nice "concept", the ding is cool cuz it has that nostalgic sense. I looked over that video a couple times, those rising white lines are sweet, the bubbles are not. A+ for effort.

To whoever asked what "RS" would stand for.
I'm guessing something like "Revolution System"
It could be like the SNES where people said Super Nintendo but typed it as SNES. You'd say Revolution, but the abreviation would be NRS or something.
