Resident Evil 4 heading to PC?

After sweeping up enough game of the year awards to keep the franchise around for another decade, Resident Evil 4 may be heading to PCs to finish what it's started. According to
European retailer Play's website, Resident Evil 4 is scheduled to hit PCs on
March 31st. We all know how unreliable retailers websites can be, but Blue's News is reporting that Capcom Germany
delivered an unofficial confirmation (whatever that means). It seems plausible enough; they've already made a fortune off both the PS2 and GCN versions, and they'd be in good company. Condemned, another console creeper, is heading to the PC as well. Now PC gamers can grab a Windows Xbox 360 controller and sit back on their couch in their computer chair and wait until late March.

Wow. I never expected that.. if it is true then with a decent monitor + controller it should be the definitive version. My GC version is still waiting to be finished (very busy person ;) ) but thinking of it without the aliasing and higher res makes me kinda warm inside. Though I would hope they add some extras (ala ps2) exclusive for the PC and not just do a 640x480 "quickport" of the console versions (but I doubt it).

Finally, a game that truly deserves to be available on all systems. I bought the GCN version, and besides its obvious status as the best game of 2005, it's high in the running for best game of all time as far as i'm concerned. It's note worthy in that it is the first game to induce actual, heart rate-raising fear in the player. Hell, if they ported it to 360, I'd snap that version up too!

This will not be a good PC game. Controls will suck. Camera will suck. The enemies would actually need an AI or it would be too easy with keyboard+mouse control.
And no, this does not contradict itself: The controls will suck as a PC game, but they will still be way more accurate than the console versions, thus making the game too easy.
Until someone releases either a mouse or a keyboard with an additional trackball just for camera control third person games should stay on consoles.

Um, they should have released it on the Xbox. I refuse to buy the PS2 version (hate the controller), but I would buy it again for the Xbox.
PC? I wouldn't want to play a game like this on the PC, or MAC. The PC is great for strategy and MMORPGs, but other than that... I would kill to have AVP2 on the Xbox or 360. Screw an OS, just let me play!

I played the original resident evil on the pc , before antyhing else and the controls were fine. Granted the gaming mechanics are a bit different in RE4 then previous installments, but I think once you get used to it, controls shouldnt be too bad
