There's something about forecasting that
seems to get everyone excited. Most of the time, we call this gossiping. However, when people get paid to do it, we
call them analysts. And most of us love them for it. Some analysts overseas in the land of the rising sun have started speculating on a few issues regarding the next-gen race. They talk release, prices, games availability and more. You're probably wondering what they have to say about the PS3 already.
According to one guy at the Daiwa Institute of Research, gamers in Japan might have their hands on Sony's machine as early as April (and June at the latest). However he also believes it won't have much third-party support until the summer or fall. When all next-gen consoles are spoken for, these analysts think that the PlayStation 3 will command half of the worldwide market share with the Xbox 360 at 30% and the Revolution at 20%. Only time will tell.
