I call fake. Look at the Nintendo logo. And what's with the red dots a the top? Morse code?

Honestly, they aren't even trying anymore.

This is becoming lame. Can't wait to avoid bogus Revolution interface #9.

I remember when you guys used to write about real things instead of milking stories into series that wear out their welcome and drag on way too long. It started with the 360 and is not beginning to plague the Revolution articles.

This whole 'Revolution Interface' series of articles is simply becoming ridiculous. When you get to the point that the overwhelming majority of readers accept the fact that the screens are bogus, it's time to shift topics. A good parody is represented by the fact that it fools people. The first few did that. The last few have been mundane. As such, none of it is really news worthy.

No, with a good parody, people KNOW it's a joke. It's satirizing something and the obviousness makes it funny.

I'm pretty sure most people know that all these "leaked" mockups are fake. Did anyone actually see a picture of the REAL controller before TGS? Of course not. It's not about showing a real interface, it's about what the fans think or what they'd like to see.

You can never unerestimate the power of comic sans... never...

On a related note I would like to think if Nintendo ever did anything like this during the first phase of any of their product :P

Probot nailed it! This isn't about what Nintendo may be making so much as it's about what Nintendo fans think they will be making. See: Revo controller attempts.

Man, I am soooooo sick of these Revolution interface stories... the first few were amusing, now it's just plain old.

And after all, it's only a bloody interface.

First off, this is a rant about Joystiq.com, so if you don't want to hear complaining, then please skip reading this post.

This website is starting to turn into....dare I say it...Attack of the Show (on G4TV). I used to watch that show everyday, and almost everyday I would complain about some stupid remark that Kevin made, or some stupid inside joke that the cast has, that isn't funny to anyone watching the show thats outside of their 5 person clique. I could only handle the "hey lets get drunk" stories so many times until I finally stopped watching it, and I have never looked back. All of the pains just weren't worth going through to get the few nuggets of interesting info. PLEASE. Joystiq. Stop with the nonsense. You are starting to give off the same vibe.

I know somebody behind me is going to post about "hey if you don't like a certain story, then don't read it". But, if you are a gamer, you want to find out all of the details of whats going on. So I read through almost all of the stories, because some look terrible but actually have a few good facts in them. It's just that it is getting to the point where there is so much filler, that it is almost too exhausting to read through all of the garbage to get to the good stuff.

This story about the Revolution mockup is so bad, that it makes Joystiq look like an amateur website. Is this all it takes to get posted on Joystiq.com? I would write it off as a "joke", but this isn't the first time.

#18 -- Seriously, this is a BLOG. Blogs aren't CNN. They don't need to follow typical journalism tactics. Not only that, this is a blog about _video games_, not a blog about video games _news_. Seriously, is there anywhere on Joystiq that claims it's a site developed purely for video game related news? No. It's a blog. Blogs don't stick to one format or one type of story, especially with more than one writer. Get over it. If you can do a better job, then do it, otherwise, move on.

It's Sunday. Why does everyone expect a duluge of news to come every hour of every day. This is better than some sites that don't post anything.

There has been a large number of fake Rev interface videos/pics. Someone made a parody of that trend. Since Joystiq has posted all the fakes, it made perfect sense to post the parody.

It's not like this is an insides joke either. All the previous posts are linked right there in the post.

This is a blog. It's not goddamm CNN.

I agree completely with #21 and #22, Joystiq is a video game blog, you know those toys where you kill pretend ninjas. How can you take it that seriously.

IMO, this was one of the best posts ever.

hey joystiq your comment

"From incorrectly calling the DVD discs CDs"

is wrong, well obviously they wont be CD's but there is nothing official about them being DVD's, the last official statement mentioning the format still called them optical discs so they are still not saying which format they are using though it most likely will be DVD or DVD9

I think Joystiq should take notice of their audience. When people come out and say 'Hey, you're being annoying' maybe they'll take it under consideration. Criticism is a good thing, no?
