Very small list.

On the topic of free "indie games", has anyone heard of a Rez-type(synaesthesia) game? I think it borrow Rez's prototype name "K-Project" or part of it.

Download Icy Tower, by Free Lunch Design. It is, quite simply, the greatest game ever made!

I would have to say that one game that really surprised me with it's quality would be Starscape from Moonpod Games ( www.moonpod.com ). I had seen their ads on sites such as Penny Arcade and Ctrl-Alt-Del for quite a while, but had never really paid any attention to it. Just the other week, I saw the ad again and decided to give it a try since I was bored anyways. I thought it would be one of those games where you would play the trial for a bit, get bored of it, and forget about it. I ended up buying the full game after the first 20-minute-per-gaming-session trial kicked in. I'm definately not going to make the same mistake of overlooking "indie" games ever again.

P.S. Their upcoming War Angels game looks really good as well.
