The latest issue of Famitsu Xbox 360 has quite a few Japanese
developer, uh... developments in it, but the juicy Team Ninja news deserves a post all its own: Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach
Volleyball 2 will be the next 360 release for the team, and the action game to follow won't be a sequel to
Ninja Gaiden.According to GameSpot: "Itagaki said Team Ninja is already working on the opening and ending scenes for [DoAXBV2], and he is currently implementing some new ideas to the original design. Itagaki avoided commenting on a release period." DoA4's first update is set for mid-February, however.
Unfortunately, fans of the current 360 TN release may be disappointed to learn that "plans to release new outfits for DO4 characters via Xbox Live Marketplace have been put off due to budget and staffing issues." Also, any future costumes made (if any are made at all) would not be offered for free. Wow, things were pretty good with DoA Ultimate, huh? At least Itagaki apologized for DoA4's unfortunate delay.
