We hate to make yet another blog post that can be summed up in just four words ("those wacky Japanese gamers!") but sometimes nothing else can explain the facts. We link here to an entire site dedicated to cataloging the girls of the Xbox 360 title Dead or Alive 4 during their numerous Marilyn Monroe moments. The linked-to site is both an underwear catalog and a guide to taking photographs of the digital beauties of DOA4.

It's also a bit of insight into why the game is currently at the top of Xbox 360 software sales lists in Japan. Could the elusive secret to success in the Japanese market really be distilled down to just ounces of lace and silk?

I don't know about Japanese gamers. This had already been done at Neotaku ^_^!

That said, yes, sex sells - especially in the Japanese market, where a popular hentai game easily outsold the 360 during launch week.

All MS needs now is a full on PORN RPG. You can customise your character, strengths, weaknesses, reputation... All that stuff, who says that the Japanese are "HARD" to please...

I want to see an MMORPG where we can be pimps or ho's and stuff and gain levels by how many tricks your ho turns and how much money your pimp makes, etc.

That'd be kewl! I wonder how that would do over there?

And we could name it literally, EverCrack! Ha-ha!
