After three weeks (at least, in the
public eye), Nintendo of Europe has found a new senior marketing director to replace recently departed veteran Jim Merrick: (now former)
marketing director for Nintendo France, Laurent Fischer.According to MCV, Fischer "will be responsible for planning and co-ordinating the European marketing for all of Nintendo’s products," while Achim Schmauss "will be responsible for the pan-European marketing activities for the next-generation home console 'which launches in 2006,' " as well as oversee the release of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as Nintendo's new European brand manager.
