i bought the game mainly for the online, I've stopped playing the game because of the lag. why advertise something that is clearly not? The game makers and microsoft should not charge high street prices for what is third rate service. Would they let a realise of windows as patcy as COD2 to be published??? Don't think so.

Ah, how wonderful. We've now entered an age where the bane of PC gaming is entering our consoles: Patch releases. I eagerly await numerous rushed titles with excessively buggy code requiring patch after patch.

Why am I not surprised that we have Microsoft to thank for this?

Great.
Meanwhile those of playing the game on PC have no anti-cheat or map editor software of any kind.

Why is it that every patch that has come out thus far for the 360 and for 360 games has not addressed the majority of the major issues present in the games? It seems like every game has some sort of serious coding problem and every patch released to "fix" these problems is completely half-assed and neglects most of the problems plagueing the game. With the inccrease of price on most games you would think they would try to get their shit right the first time.

NO, the patch [cheat]didn't seem to work. My game also has an oddity in that it will skip over the U.S. battles [I think there's 3] and goes right back to beginning of Russian training version after several Brit. battles. When I first got the game,I was able to get one U.S.battle [scaling the cliffs at Normandy] but when I restarted the game [after saving] the next day,I was right back to Russian training again! Dunno, unless I'm doing something wrong in the saving step. This is single player offline by the way.

to #5, the patches go on the memory unit or the hard drive. You can't get the patches (online) without those. For system updates like the dash upgrade, there is a reserved space on the hard drive and memory card to store a new xbox live update (not in consideration with patches/dlc) so there will always be space

Yeah, I've given up on this one. Finished the single-player, and traded the game in for store credit. I don't know what I'll spend the credit on, doesn't look like anything coming to 360 for some time...

But seriously, where does the patch go if you don't have HD? (I do have HD, just curious).

Like everyone I wanted the patch so Lag of Duty was could be renamed Call of Duty. The MultiPlayer is seriously screwed.

If InfinityWard or Activision is reading this then for the love of fricking baby jezus add a lobby so we can invite friends and fix the fricking lag for god damns sake!!

The glitch is working just like it did before the patch.Played several times with my friends tonight!

The rumors said that the multiplayer patch will become availble with two new maps one in desert and one in a rainforest.

Finally, after losing my save once I can finally play it and relax about not losing my saves! That really made me mad when I was down to the last two American missions on hardened. Since then I just went through it again on Veteran and am back to the same place.

it goes on your memmory card? the patches must be pretty small? considering the multiplayer patch comes with new maps.

patches on the PC game are in the hundreds of megs arent they?

what happenes when you have 10 games that needed to be patched? and no Hard Drive, I guess you need a memory card for each game now?

Ok, another underwhelming update. First the dashboard update that doesn't really update anything. I guess if I had the corrupt save game thing happen to me I would appreciat ethis more, but the fact that I still can't play usable games online leaves me as upset as ever.

This was by far my favorite game at launch. Then I took it online and the disappointment quickly set in. Now that this patch is utterly worthless to me, I, like the previous poster am going to be trading this game in unless a REAL patch comes out in the next two weeks.

And since I seriously doubt that will happen, I've already mentally kissed COD2 goodbye. Infinity Ward and Microsoft really screwed the pooch on this one. This game should have been a system seller, instead it's become a possible system killer. Great work guys!
