When we first talked about the Neuros
MPEG-4 Recorder 2 for the PSP, we already knew we wanted one; the ability to record live feed and convert it to a
PSP-ready format seemed like convenience at its most, uh, convenient. Thankfully, unlike the many promising hardware news that turn out to be total duds, Reg Hardware states that the Neuros recorder is a winner. They lament the removal of USB 2.0 support (which essentially means that transporting media off the device will have to be done solely via Memory Stick or Compact Flash cards), but they like the improvement of the Neuros' basic PVR abilities and compression quality.
Just imagine: no more having to deal with the hassle of downloading TV shows off the net and converting them after. We think that's well worth the $150 price tag. Now, if there was just some way we could
