Activision hints at a GUN sequel
While noting that sales of GUN
were less than expected, Activision revealed during a financial conference call that GUN sold the best among
new game property and hinted that a sequel to the title may be in development. Given the company's lackluster apology to The
Association for American Indian Development (and refusal to recall and edit the original title), it does not seem like
Activision is going to let a little controversy get in the way of a potentially profitable intellectual property. No official word on a GUN 2 yet, but we would be surprised if Activision did not build a franchise out of its best selling non-sequel.

I actually enjoyed GUN - as a rental. if you could get past the bad graphics it was pretty fun. here's hoping the sequel has multiplayer, though - I only buy games that have multiplayer.

GUN was a good game with a great storyline and some nice mocap. I was personally quite surprised at just how full of life the world felt and am all for more.
I don't see how you can consider Activisions apology laclustre, or even suggest that they should have recalled the game. If you played the game and paid attention, you'd notice that you killed more Native Americans when you were a "cowboy", but then fewer and fewer as you actually became to know them as a people and as idividuals. Heck the main character ends up BEING Native American at the end of it.

Activision basically apologized by showing how TV, movies, and other forms of entertainment have used similar depictions - in other words, they are simply following along. But the other mediums have gotten it wrong too, and they cannot simply hide behind a group of other distortions to justify their own. Whether or not the AAID was justified, that's still a silly way to justify your game.
And no, I don't think games should be recalled and edited - adding content is fine, but the removal of anything degrades the original work (yes, I'm discussing this as art).

Great game, a little to easy. Would love some online play for this title, can't wait for the sequel.

Underrated game, while the graphics weren't amazing the story and voice acting was really great.
If they can improve the graphics and make the world seem a little more "alive" (no more entire areas devoid of life or things to do) then I think the game will be a lot more popular.

Why not just make a downloadable patch to reverse the indian model with the cowboy model to keep the Indian group happy?
