Screenshots: Test Drive Unlimited (Xbox 360)

Some new screens have surfaced for Atari's upcoming Xbox 360 racer, dubbed Test Drive Unlimited. In addition, the publisher has released the following gameplay details:

More than 125 licensed and customizable vehicles
Massively Open Online Racing (M.O.O.R.) via Xbox Live
Unlimited number of players can be on the same island at the same time
Voice support for up to seven other players

With so many "perty" racing games being made available on the 360, which one are you most looking forward to?

cool, like motor city online, but modern and hopefully supported for longer and not as (apparently) shit!

This could be interesting, I like the MMoR(acing)G aspect... And the 'Get Hitchhikers to the Airport" thing has a 'Crazy Taxi' vibe, cool.

I'm hoping for a demo on LIVE...

There's only ONE real racing game on the 360: Burnout Revenge.

Next to Burnout, all the others are clunky arcade games in the vein of Pole Position or Outrun.

burnout revenge is NOT a racing game

its just and arcade game

in test drive unlimited you can flash your lights at another car to initiate a race if they accept you set the route and off you go you coule do a full island lap or a simple drag race

I'm still waiting for Nadeo to port Trackmania to a console. That game is just crying for more attention.

What's the only racing game where you can cause other players to crash and burn? What's the only racing game worth playing?
Burnout.

I'm with you on Forza2 GDUB. That should be something phenomenal after the great opener they had. Too bad about their continued leaderboards problems.

just look at it. why spend more money on burnout 360 when burnout for the xbox was just the same thing. I'l admit burnout is one of the best games ever, but its just not worth the money when i still have the xbox version. PGR3 is also a GREAT game once you get used to it; burnout has too short a learning curve (its too easy)

You can't say Burnout Revenge isn't a racing game. You DO race to accomplish goals faster than the computer or a friend or online opponents.

The problem with Gran Turismo and Forza is they are boring. Modding your car isn't even accurate half the time. All you end up doing is driving around in circles and in GT doing the REALLY ANNOYING license tests just so you can qualify for different races.

At least Burnout Revenge and Full Auto put a new perspective on racing that is actually entertaining. Crashing, ballistics, grinding...all end up with hours of entertainment.

If you want realistic, go to the track with a real tuned car. Hondas don't count.

I'm looking forward to Burnout Revenge personally. PGR3 and NFS just haven't done it for me. Full Auto might be fun overall, but it is hard to tell from playing the short demo.

kinda pissed because back in june 2005 this game was listed as a launch title, then launch "window", then jan2006, then feb2006 now june 2006. This is either gonna be the best or the cheesiest racing game on 360. Graphics/detail wise its almost like pgr3 (TDU has cockpit), and, well have to see what the gameplays is like.

Seeing things like "MOOR" sound extremely promising. I wont describe how awesome it would be if "masses" of people could drive online togetehr.

Also pissed because i dont have a 360, and and because ps3 will be a superior machine but more expensive and no news on it for ages. And because burnout revenge 360 wont be so great. Make a sequel, people wold like that more.
